Tree of Friendship Garden-Museum

🍊Tree of Friendship Garden-Museum🍋— a unique living monument located in the Khosta District of Sochi on the territory of the All-Russian Research Institute of Floriculture and Subtropical Crops.
The main attraction is a unique citrus tree, to the trunk of which more than 45 varieties of fruits from different corners of the world have been grafted: oranges, lemons, grapefruits, tangerines, and even kumquats. The history of this tree began in 1934 with a single branch, and today it symbolizes peace and the unity of peoples, as cosmonauts, politicians, scientists, and artists from 173 countries have left their grafts here. This place combines scientific value, historical memory, and aesthetic pleasure from the sight of a flowering and fruit-bearing natural wonder. An ideal choice for lovers of botany, history, and those who believe in the power of symbolic gestures.

ℹ️Garden-Museum Features:

  • Biological Phenomenon: a single tree simultaneously bears fruits of different species and varieties, demonstrating the possibilities of breeding science; the flowering and fruiting season creates an incredible aroma and visual effect.

  • Historical Collection: each branch has its own history and the name of its donor (Yuri Gagarin, Indira Gandhi, Nikita Khrushchev, and many others); informational plaques are installed nearby.

  • Landscape and Atmosphere: a well-maintained park with subtropical vegetation, quiet alleys, and the opportunity to enjoy silence and clean air away from noisy resort areas.

  • Scientific Base: the territory belongs to a research institute, which guarantees the preservation of the object and a high level of agronomic care.
