How to get there: by car or taxi to the foot of Mount Akhun, then up the switchbacks to the summit (the road is winding and requires caution). There are also organized tours from the center of Sochi. Public transport runs rarely, it is better to book a transfer.
Footwear and clothing: even in summer, it can be cooler and windier at the summit than below, so bring a light jacket or windbreaker. Comfortable shoes for walking around the platform.
Best time: morning (before 11:00) or evening (after 17:00) — fewer tourists, soft light for photos. Avoid cloudy days if you want to see the panorama.
