Sochi Railway Station

Sochi Railway Station — a majestic architectural monument and one of the main "calling cards" of the resort. Built in 1950–1952. The building is a bright example of Stalinist Empire style with elements of classicism. The main feature of the object — its monumentality and decorative richness: high columns, arched openings, stucco, mosaic panels and the famous tower with a spire topped with a star. The station not only performs a transport function, but also serves as a cultural center: inside there are a concert hall, an art gallery and a museum of railway history. The perfect place to start or end a journey, as well as for lovers of architecture and the history of the USSR. Reconstructed and expanded for the 2014 Olympics.
